Return, Refund & Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with Gems Vintage Denim. We take pride in the quality of our clothing and carefully inspect every order before it leaves our studio. To maintain our quality standards and keep our prices competitive, we enforce a strict Return and Shipping Policy.

By completing a purchase on our website, you formally acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the nature of our business, all sales are strictly final

We do offer exchanges for sizing issues or fit preferences. you must contact us within 15 days of delivery to initiate an exchange. all exchange items must be returned in their original condition. we reserve the right to decline any exchange request if the item shows signs of additional wear or use.

The only time a return or refund can be issued is in the rare event that you receive the entirely wrong product (not a slight color variation or vintage wear). you must contact us within 3 days of delivery with photo evidence. returns are handled on a strict case-by-case basis and we reserve the right to decline any return or refund request.

Klarna Orders: Return Policy

If your order was completed using Klarna as your payment method, the following policy applies in place of our standard all sales final policy:

You have the right to return your item(s) within 14 days of delivery, provided the items are returned unopened and undamaged in their original condition. returns for klarna orders are eligible for a full refund. store credit will not be issued in place of a refund, and no restocking fees will apply.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, unless the item you received was incorrect. 

Please review all product descriptions, sizing charts, and photographs carefully before completing your purchase.

 

2. Exceptions: Incorrect Product Received

The only exception to our "All Sales Final" policy is in the rare event that we ship you the entirely wrong product (e.g., you ordered a jacket and received a pair of pants).

  • Color & Vintage Variations: Please note that product colors may vary slightly due to screen calibration, lighting, or manufacturing processes. Because we specialize in vintage denim, natural wear and minor imperfections are part of the garment's character. A slight difference in color, texture, or expected vintage wear does not constitute a "wrong product" and is not eligible for a return.
  • Case-by-Case Basis: If you believe you have received the completely wrong item, you must contact us at info@gemsvintagedenim.com within 3 days of the delivery date with clear photo evidence. All return requests are evaluated on a strict case-by-case basis.
  • Right to Decline: Gems Vintage Denim reserves the right to decline any return, exchange, or refund request at our sole and absolute discretion.

If an exception is granted, the item must be returned unworn, unwashed, free of new odors/stains, and with all original tags attached.

3. Transfer of Shipping Liability

Once your package leaves our studio and is scanned by the carrier with a valid tracking number, our responsibility and liability for the shipment completely ends.

  • Lost, Stolen, or Missing Packages: If your tracking information shows that the package was "Delivered" but you claim you did not receive it, or if the package is lost in transit, you must contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim. We will not issue refunds or replacements for packages that the carrier confirms as delivered, nor can we be held liable for mail theft.
  • Disputes/Chargebacks: Any fraudulent chargebacks filed for orders marked as "Delivered" by the shipping carrier will be aggressively disputed using tracking data, IP addresses, and order records.

4. Failed Deliveries & Return-to-Sender

It is the buyer's responsibility to provide a secure and completely accurate shipping address at checkout, and to be available to receive the package.

  • If a package is returned to us by the carrier due to customer error—such as an incorrect or incomplete address, failure to claim the package at a local post office, or not being present for delivery attempts—the buyer is solely responsible for paying the full cost of re-shipment.
  • We will not issue refunds or cancellations for orders that are returned to sender. The items will be held at our studio until the re-shipment invoice is paid by the customer.

5. International Orders, Customs & Import Taxes

For orders shipping outside of our home country, please be aware that your government may impose customs duties, foreign tariffs, import taxes, or brokerage fees upon delivery.

  • Gems Vintage Denim has absolutely no control over these charges, nor do we benefit from them.
  • We cannot legally falsify customs documents or declare packages as "gifts" to help you avoid these taxes.
  • The buyer assumes full responsibility for any and all customs fees and import taxes. If you refuse to pay these fees and the package is abandoned or returned to us, you will not receive a refund for your order or the original shipping costs.
